Neon Brawl

About this game

Neon Brawl is a solo side-scrolling arcade brawler. Play the red-bladed ronin across four districts: After the Rain, Violet Market, Ember Freight and Midnight Terminus. Each district has three blockades. Clear the crowd to advance, then face its boss. Hold J for a three-hit combo, press K for a stamina-powered heavy strike and Space to dodge. Step up or down to leave an attack lane; orange warnings give you time to retreat or interrupt. Land hits to charge Neon Burst, then unleash it with L. Arcade difficulty reduces damage and restores more health between blockades. Challenge demands tighter movement and resource management. Checkpoints save after each cleared blockade, and district completion unlocks the next. Keep best scores and combos, and import or export saves. Desktop keyboard controls.

How to play

Get to know the controls, then take things at your own pace.

1. Move with WASD or the arrows. Advance right and step up or down to dodge attacks in another lane.
2. Hold J to chain three strikes. K costs 30 stamina for a heavy blow that breaks armor, interrupts and knocks back.
3. Space dodges with brief invulnerability for 22 stamina. Stamina recovers automatically; avoid exhausting it in a crowd.
4. Hits charge Burst. Press L at full charge for a powerful attack against surrounding enemies.
5. Clear each blockade and move right. The third holds a boss. Clear a blockade to restore health and save. Escape pauses.
6. Retry the current checkpoint after defeat. Clear districts to unlock the next, and export or import progress in Records.
